Biography

Arif Camoglu is Assistant Professor of English at UC Davis. His research centers on comparative analyses of the British and Ottoman literatures of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. He has published articles on the topics of global romanticism, world literature, and empire. Currently he is at work on a book manuscript that weaves a dialogue between the Ottoman and British writers of the romantic period with a focus on their figurative and literal engagements with imperial power.
