Carl E. Dement Jr., Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice at the University of Central Oklahoma. His pragmatic research focuses on AI in criminal justice, carceral disaster preparedness, and public service motivation. He holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Missouri, an M.A. in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Texas, and a Ph.D. in Fire and Emergency Management Administration from Oklahoma State University.
