Biography

Evangelos Venetis is an independent scholar in Iranian Studies based in Athens focusing on Hellenic (Greek) -Iranian Studies in premodern and modern times. He wrote his doctoral thesis on the Book of Alexander (Iskandarnama) at the University of Edinburgh and conducted post-doctoral research in classical Persian literature at the University of Leiden. Venetis has been also a Visiting Scholar at the Stavros Niarchos Center for Hellenic Studies – The Simon Fraser University in Vancouver.
