Biography
Hugh Maloney is a freelance musicologist and pedagogue currently based in Dresden, Germany. In 2014 he received a bachelor’s degree in music at the University of Nottingham and a master’s in composition at the University of Sheffield in 2018. In 2023 he was awarded a PhD in musicology, again at the University of Nottingham. His doctoral thesis was written on the subject of Ennio Morricone’s western-genre film music.
