Kevin Rylands is a birder and naturalist. His passion for birds was sparked in the south-east but Devon has been his adopted county, and Dawlish Warren his local patch, since 1991. He worked for the RSPB for more than 25 years, supporting and encouraging farmers to boost the conservation of Chough, Cirl Bunting and Stone-curlew in particular. He has also maintained the Dawlish Warren Recording Group website since 2004 and is in his second stint as Devon Bird Recorder.
