Dr Malavika Binny is Assistant Professor, at the Department of History in Kannur University, Kerala. She is an intersectional feminist and a gender historian who works on the theme of global medical histories. Her focus areas include Dalit histories, histories of science, and religion and folklore studies. She was the recipient of the prestigious EU - Erasmus scholarship in 2015, and the Elamkulam Kunjan Pillai Young Historian Award instituted by the Kerala History Congress in 2016.
