Quito J. Swan is Director of Africana Studies and Professor of History at The George Washington University, USA. He is a scholar of Black Internationalism and author of four books: Born A Sufferah: Dancehall Music’s Insurgent Soundscapes (Bloomsbury, 2025), Pasifika Black: Oceania, Anticolonialism, and the African World (New York University Press, 2022), Pauulu’s Diaspora: Black Internationalism and Environmental Justice (University Press of Florida, 2020), and Bermuda: The Struggle for Decolonization (Palgrave Macmillan, 2010).
