Biography
Dr. Shahid Ahmed is Professor and Head of the Department of Economics, Jamia
Millia Islamia, New Delhi, India. He has previously served in the United Nations
Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) as Consultant, Economist and
Senior Economist. Prof. Ahmed has written widely in the areas of
macroeconomics, international trade, energy, RTAs and WTO-related issues. He
has published many books and research papers in reputed national and
international journals broadly dealing with development issues, macroeconomics
and international Trade. He specializes in macroeconomics, econometrics and
computable general equilibrium modeling of trade and other development issues.
