Biography

Torange Khonsari is Co-Founder of the urbanism, public art and architecture practice Public Works. Khonsari has had 23 years in academic teaching in architecture and design, and is co-director of the Centre for Applied Research in Empowering Society at London Metropolitan University. She was a consultant for UN-Habitat on community-engaged urbanism and for the Mayor of London’s Specialist Assistant Team on community engagement in regeneration. She is a chartered designer, an expert adviser for Design Council, and one of the experts on the Design Council’s initiative Design for Planet fellowship 2021/22.
