Biography
Willard M. Oliver is a professor of criminal justice at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. He is the author of 50 books including, The Birth of the FBI: Teddy Roosevelt, the Secret Service, and the Fight Over America’s Premier Law Enforcement Agency (2019), The Boston Police Strike of 1919: Politics, Riots, and the Fight for Unionization (2023), and The Birth of The State Police: Coal Strikes, Politics, and the Creation of the Pennsylvania State Constabulary. He resides with his wife in Huntsville, Texas.
