Biography
William Hughes is an academic with more than thirty years’ experience of teaching and research in the United Kingdom and Asia. He is a past president of the International Gothic Association, the former editor of the academic journal Gothic Studies, and the author, editor or co-editor of more than 20 books in the fields of Gothic and medical history. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society, of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland, and an Honorary Research Fellow of the University of East Anglia.
