Xiang Fan holds a PhD in Media, Communications and Cultural Studies from Goldsmiths, University of London. Her work explores the intersections of independent and art cinema, grassroots distribution and exhibition cultures, and film festivals and curatorial practices in the digital age in China and the Sinophone world.
