It is an immense challenge to author a book that maintains a healthy balance between theory, assessment of the evidence and research informed practice. This becomes even more challenging in the field of technology supported learning. In A Framework for Teaching Music Online, Carol Johnson not only has achieved this, but she has managed to produce a book that is exciting, engaging and critical.
