Pilates is really good for runners to help improve their overall body strength, control and conditioning. I think that it's easy to get hooked on more and more miles, times and distance. Focusing on a strong foundation helps your body tolerate the training, recover and maintain consistency. It can also help with flexibility.

Pilates helped me focus on key areas of stability and conditioning that are important (but often neglected) by marathoners.
