Alex Berryman is an ornithologist and conservation scientist. A lifelong birder, he studied at the University of East Anglia while simultaneously working as author and editor on seven of Lynx and BirdLife International’s International Field Guide Series publications, and he has worked as a freelance ornithologist, editor and tour guide across the world, including a stint studying in Australia where he developed his affinity for Asian and Australasian birds. Alex is now based in Cambridge, UK, where he works for BirdLife as part of the Red List Team. He also sits as Chair of the Oriental Bird Club’s Publications Committee and is Managing Editor of BirdingASIA.
