Bethany Layne is Senior Lecturer in English Literature at De Montfort University, Leicester, UK. She is the author of Henry James in Contemporary Fiction: The Real Thing (2020), which discusses novels based on James's life and work, and the editor of Biofiction and Writers’ Afterlives (2020). Her work has appeared in publications including the Journal of Popular Film and Television, European Journal of Live Writing, The Henry James Review, and The Conversation.
