Biography
Felicia Zeller war born in Stuttgart, Germany. She writes plays and prose and works as a media artist. She graduated from the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy in 1998. In 1999/2000, she was playwright-in-residence at the Theater Rampe in Stuttgart. Her plays have been invited to the Mülheim Theatre Festival several times (2008, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2016, and 2020). Kaspar Häuser Meer won the Audience Award there. X-Freunde was voted the best German-language play in the 2013 critics' poll by Theater heute magazine. Her debut short prose piece, Einsam lehnen am Bekannten (Leaning Alone on the Familiar), was awarded the Clemens-Brentano-Prize in 2009. In 2020, she received the Else Lasker-Schüler Drama Prize for her complete body of work.
