Harisur Rahman is an associate professor in the Media, Communication, and Journalism Program at North South University, Bangladesh, and a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC), USA. His research spans critical AI studies, South Asian media systems, political communication, and digital social movements. Author of Decoding Ad Culture (2024, Lexington) and Consuming Cultural Hegemony (2020), Rahman examines how media, technology, and youth resistance shape democratic transformation, including Bangladesh’s historic 2024 Gen Z Uprising.
