J. Nicole Brooks (she/they) is an award winning multidisciplinary artist whose practice includes writing new works for the stage, direction, choreography, acting and storytelling. Brooks is currently an artistic producer and Mellon Playwright in Residence at Lookingglass Theatre Company. Projects in development include the second play in a trilogy of Chicago mayoral stories. Prince Hal is inspired by the incredible rise and heartbreaking tragedy of Chicago’s first Black mayor, Harold Washington.
