Melissa Beattie holds a PhD in Theatre, Film & Television Studies from Aberystwyth University, UK, where she studied Torchwood and national identity. She is currently Remote Adjunct in Humanities at Southern New Hampshire University, USA and has previously worked at other universities in the USA, Korea, Pakistan, Armenia, Ethiopia, Cambodia and Morocco. She is a recovering Classicist and has published and presented a number of works relating to transnational television, audience research and national identity.
