Biography

Muddasir Ramzan is an academic and writer from Kashmir. He holds a PhD in English from Aligarh Muslim University; his doctoral research explored the intersections of contemporary Muslim realities, postcolonialism, and Islam. His scholarly work focuses on contemporary Muslim writing and twentieth- and twenty-first-century literature, with a special emphasis on South Asian writing, Kashmir studies, and narratives of migration. He engages critically with postcolonial and postmodern theory, as well as Islamic intellectual traditions. His conversations with prominent contemporary intellectuals have appeared in outlets such as The Hindu, Scroll.in, Frontline, and Journal of Postcolonial Writing. His short fiction has been widely published in journals and magazines like Critical Muslim, Outlook, Himal Southasian, The Bombay Review, and others.
