Sibongile Mpofu is Associate Professor of Journalism and Media Studies at the National University of Science and Technology, Zimbabwe. She is also a Research Associate in the Department of Strategic Communications at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. Mpofu is a member of the Womanism, Activism, Higher Education Research Network at Birkbeck University of London, UK and board member for the following organizations: Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) and Communicare, Journal for Communication Sciences in Southern Africa.
