Stephen Sharot is Emeritus Professor of Sociology and Anthropology at Ben Gurion University of the Negev, Israel. His articles on popular cinema have appeared in Screen, Film History, Canadian Journal of Film Studies, Journal of Popular Culture, Journal of Gender Studies, Journal of American Studies, Studies in European Cinema, Adaptation, and Gender and History. He is the author of five books on the sociology of religion and ethnicity. His latest book is Love and Romance Across Social Classes in American Cinema (2017).
