Thomas A. Greenfield is Professor of English Emeritus and former Dean of the College at the State University of New York at Geneseo. Greenfield's first book, Work and the Work Ethic in American Drama 1920-1970, was published in 1982. American Musicals in Historical Context (forthcoming 2026) is his fifth book. His writing has also appeared in Comparative Drama, The Arthur Miller Journal, Twentieth-Century Literary Criticism, The Crisis, South Atlantic Review, Liberal Education, NAMES: A Journal of Onomastics, among other publications.
