Bestsellers
The 2021/2022 financial year saw Bloomsbury’s print bestsellers dominated by our biggest brand authors, J. K. Rowling and Sarah J. Maas. In the 25th anniversary year of the first Harry Potter book, the boy wizard continues to lead the highest selling children’s series of our time. The enormous ongoing success of Sarah J. Maas’ fantasy series’ was dominated by The House of Sky and Breath, which became a number one bestseller in the UK, US, Canada and Australia in February 2022.
Susanna Clarke’s Women’s Prize for Fiction-winning Piranesi features on the eBook and audio chart, with the audiobook read by BAFTA-winning actor Chiwetel Ejiofor. Our audio bestsellers represent the range of quality publishing at Bloomsbury across genres, including This Is How They Tell Me the World Ends by Nicole Perlroth, winner of the FT Business Book of the Year Award, and Peter Frankopan’s perennial The Silk Roads.
