Numerous clinical vignettes offer a thoughtful integration of traditional psychodynamic concepts with a more contemporary understanding of ways in which social dynamics around race, gender and class help shape individual experience. I can think of no other book that offers an introduction to clinical practice as clear, comprehensive and culturally sensitive as that brought to us by the authors of Inside Out and Outside In.
