Barry Monahan is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Film & Screen Media at University College Cork, Ireland, the Vice Head of College (Graduate Studies), Chair of the Board of Irish Screen Studies, and the Editor of the “Irish Film, Theatre & Television: Year in Review” section of the online journal of Irish Studies: Estudios Irlandeses. His monographs include Hands on Film: Actants, Aesthetics, Affects (2022); The Films of Lenny Abrahamson (Bloomsbury, 2018); and Ireland’s Theatre on Film (2009).
