Calogero Giametta is a Lecturer in Criminology at the University of Leicester, UK, with a research focus on the criminalisation of sexualities and the political economy of migration. Between 2010 and 2014 his PhD thesis examined the experiences of LGBTQ+ refugees in the UK, which resulted in the publication of his book 'The Sexual Politics of Asylum' (2017).
