Douglas Flandro

Biography

Drawing on his background in theater and film design, Douglas Flandro is especially interested in sustainable exhibit design, new technologies, immersive experiences, experiential graphic design and hands-on interactive exhibits. With 24 years of experience as an exhibit designer, he has designed exhibits and graphics for numerous historical museums, science museums, children’s museums, nature and visitor centers, aquariums, and zoos. Douglas leads Cambridge Seven’s Sustainable Working Group and has taught and lectured at Wentworth Institute of Technology, the Fashion Institute of Technology, and Rhode Island School of Design. He has been a thought leader in sustainable exhibition design since 2021.
