Biography
Grant Parker teaches Greco-Roman and African studies at Stanford University and is Extraordinary Professor of Ancient Studies at Stellenbosch University in South Africa. His publications include The Agony of Asar: a thesis on slavery by the former slave, Jacobus Elisa Johannes Capitein, 1717-1747 (2001).
