Biography

Jagriti Gangopadhyay is an Associate Professor of Sociology at the Manipal Institute of Social Sciences Humanities and Arts, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal, India. Her research lies in the intersections of social gerontology and public health. She has published widely in peer-reviewed journals and edited volumes and contributes to both scholarly and public discourse on ageing practices and public health issues. She was awarded the “Shastri Publication Grant” by the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute for her monograph titled Culture, Context and Aging of Older Indians: Narratives from India and Beyond (2021). She has also co-edited the book, Eldercare Issues in China and India (2022).
