Jahala Simuel is a school librarian at School Without Walls HS in Washington, DC. A native of Raleigh, NC received her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from St. Augustine's University and her master’s in library science and information science from North Carolina Central University. She started her library career in 2004 as Head of Reference and Adjunct Professor (CIS) at Shaw University. She worked at Shaw University for 12 years. She worked at Howard University as a medical librarian. In addition, she holds professional memberships with ALA (currently on ALA Council) and BCALA and serves on various committees in both organizations.
