John Larrivee

Biography

John Larrivee is associate professor of economics and Director of the BB&T Center for the Study of the Moral Foundations of Capitalism at the Richard J. Bolte, Sr. School of Business at Mount St. Mary’s University. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Government from Harvard, a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard, and his doctorate in Applied Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research and teaching interest are in labor economics and public policy, particularly poverty, welfare, and marriage and the family. Alejandro Cañadas is associate professor of economics at the Bolte School of Business at Mount St. Mary’s University where he teaches Corporate Finance, Financial Analysis, Applied Economic Analysis and Ethics in Business among other classes at the undergraduate and graduate level. Dr. Cañadas earned his Licentiate in Economics from the Catholic University in Buenos Aires, Argentina (UCA), a Master in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Dayton and his Ph.D. in Agricultural, Environmental and Development Economics from The Ohio State University. Dr. Cañadas’ areas of interest are economic theology, international finance, inequality and economic growth, and the moral dimensions of financial markets.
