John Miller

John Miller is Senior Lecturer in Nineteenth-Century Literature at the University of Sheffield, UK having previously held positions at Glasgow, Edinburgh, East Anglia and Northern British Columbia. He is the current President of the Association for the Study of Literature and the Environment, UK and Ireland and Co-Director of the Sheffield Animal Studies Research Centre. He is the author of Empire and the Animal Body (2012), co-author of Walrus (2014) and the editor or co-editor of eight volumes including Weird Woods (2020) and The Palgrave Handbook of Literary Animal Studies (2020). He is also co-series editor of the Palgrave Studies in Animals and Literature series.
