Jonah Salz teaches comparative theatre in the Faculty of International Studies, Ryukoku University, Kyoto. He publishes on intercultural theatre, translation and mediation of contemporary Japanese noh-kyogen performance. He was co-editor of the special Association for Asian Theatre journal on Kyogen (2007 24:1) and editor of A History of Japanese Theatre (2016).
