Jon is a science teacher in Georgia, USA. He has been teaching for over two decades, including 10 years as a Hindi literacy teacher, teacher trainer, and literacy program coordinator with Devi Sansthan. Jon received his B.S. in Physics (biophysics concentration) from Harvey Mudd College and his M.A. in Teacher Education from Claremont Graduate University. In his spare time he writes scientific papers about local herpetological assemblages and helps run wildlife conservation projects across the globe. Jon has been honoured as the 2010 North American Field Herping Association Member of the Year, the 2014 International Innovator in Education Award Recipient for the 7th Annual Education Leadership International Roundtable Conference, the 2016 Swayam Foundation Award Recipient for Lucknow District (awarded by Chief Minister Akilesh Yadav), and the 2017 One Voice For All Award Recipient (awarded by Governor Ram Naik).
