Biography

Ken Dark is Professor of Archaeology and History at the University of Cambridge and the Director of the Tintagel Hinterland Project, UK. He is an archaeologist and historian specialising in the 1st millennium CE, especially well-known for his work on fifth- to seventh-century western Britain. Dark has written over 100 academic publications, including 14 books, such as Britain and the End of the Roman Empire (2001), Roman-Period and Byzantine Nazareth and its Hinterland (2020) and Archaeology of Jesus' Nazareth (2023).
