Biography
Linda McDowell is Professor of Human Geography, University of Oxford, Professorial Fellow of St John's College, Oxford and Honorary Fellow of the Gender Institute at the London School of Economics. She is the author of Working Bodies: Interactive service employment and workplace identities (2009) and Working Lives: Gender, migration and employment in Britain, 1945-2007 (2013). She is a Fellow of the British Academy.
