Lorrie Palmer is Associate Professor of Film and Media Studies at Towson University, Maryland USA. She has conducted teaching, scholarship, and conference work on film history, digital aesthetics, gender/race in film/TV, genre (action, sci-fi, horror), and city cinema. She has published in Cinema Journal, Jump Cut, Camera Obscura, Slayage, Science Fiction Film and Television, and Mediapolis.
