Mustafa Shah is Senior Lecturer in Islamic Studies at the Near and Middle East Section of SOAS, University of London, UK. His principal research and teaching interests include early Arabic linguistic thought, Qur’an and Hadith Studies, and classical Islamic theology and law. He is co-editor of The Oxford Handbook of Qur’anic Studies and has edited the books Islamic Theological Discourses and the Legacy of Kalam; as well as Tafsir: Interpreting the Qur’an.4 vols; and The Hadith. 4 vols.
