Nan Renner is Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships for Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institution of Oceonagraphy, USA. A cognitive scientist and design researcher, Renner holds a PhD in Cognitive Science from UC San Diego, where she is a member of the Design Lab and The Center for Research on Educational Equity. Her previous work in curatorial and exhibition, graphic and set design has been with institutions including the San Diego Natural History Museum and SeaWorld. With Lisa Cartwright, she leads the Getty Pacific Standard Time Embodied Pacific and Ocean Art + Science: Navigating the Pacific research projects.
