Biography

Sandra Laugier is Professor of Philosophy at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University, France. She is the author of numerous publications on gender studies, popular culture (Film and TV series), ordinary language philosophy (Wittgenstein, Austin), moral philosophy (moral perfectionism, the ethics of care), and American philosophy (Cavell, Thoreau, Emerson). She is the translator of Stanley Cavell’s work in French.
