It explores the realities of parish life, the place of personality in ministry, and, training, support and 'career structures'. Listening to those who have left it asks and answers: where do we go from here? Hope is placed in amongst other things 'Common Tenure' to help manage role expectations and provide opportunities for review. She clearly lays down a challenge. The book will be of value to FM readers involved in supporting MDR, and, more broadly helping people to reflect on nature of parish ministry today.
